I am back after 2 weeks away. So sorry about the late notice but we have a fly tying evening this Wednesday evening (9th July). I hope you will be able to join us. For more details on how it works see my old post about the fly tying evening. I have some new material that I want to try.
This week wednesday we will be having our 3rd fly tying evening. For details on what it is about check out the details here. I will be away after this for 2 weeks but will pick up when I am back in JHB. If you don’t want to miss out on when the next event will be then please subscribe to this blog.
This week I am keen to focus on poppers, it is not a hard and fast rule so you can tie what you want. My daughter is into playing with modeling clay and she does amazing stuff, I think she is going to be a sculpture one day. So we will be experimenting with some frog patterns and seeing how we can add a hook to it.
Please feel free to join us. Just contact me if you want to pull in. 0836819281

Over the weekend I made myself a Mobile Fly tying desk. I can now tie flies no matter where I am. There is just 2 things still to do on it. Stain it and attach some foam on it so I can put rest some hooks on it. I must say I am rather chuffed with it and look forward to tying many flies. It was make with some wood lying round and an awesome workshop fulled with all the right tools. Thanks to my father-in-law.
